RTI and 1st gen Apple TV

I have a T3-V remote and use it to control my RTIdock from the screen of the remote. This is good for playing music in one room while the TV is on in another. I'm adding an Apple TV so I can have a video server as well. I would like to be able to see the Apple TV menu on the RTI remote and change songs, etc. from there. That way, someone could be watching the TV and not see the Apple TV menu.

I'm not a dealer, I just want to know what is possible so I can get my RTI dealer to set this up. I haven't had the best luck with a dealer knowing all that is possible.

Xp-3 Question regarding lan connection

Hi all,

It has been some time, I am going to give my neighbor for his birthday an XP-3. It has been a while since I programmed one of these systems and was hoping someone can answer some questions for me.

1- The XP-3 will be a stand alone install, controlling tv, regular xfinity box and a dvd player. I want the ability to control the xp-3 via an ipad. I will need to buy a license for the ipad correct?

2- Where the controller is going to be installed, there is no Ethernet connection to router. What is the second best option if hard wiring to the router is not possible?

T2c+ Left top courner red X

My remote has not been used for a year or so. I charged and when t booted i got a red x on top left that blinks 4 times slow 4 times fast. I turned the power off on the back, allowed it to charge for 3 hours, it was then blue to my surprise. It started and back to the screen. I tried plugging on to my laptop to flash the program to see if that was a corrupt program. But remote does not seem to be recognized by Integration designer as software is not sent. Any other suggestions or is the remote dead?

T2I slow?

I paired an T2I with an Xp3 and I am finding it sluggish compared to my XP8 that is paired with a TC2+. Is it me or is the T2I sluggish? I updated the firmware on both the XP3 and T2I. But it seems that when I press the icon for channels on the remote. it takes at least 4 seconds for device to recover and be able to press another button. even switching from menu to menu seems to be sluggish.

Using integration designer and even on the RTI site the newest database is dated 2013. Everything I need to set up is newer than that.

Is there a IR database newer than that anywhere?

XP-3 no LAN connection

Hi everyone,

As the topic says, i can not get the XP-3 connected to my network. Tried DHCP, static IP, no success.

No problems via USB though, latest firmware installed.

Do i miss something?

Anyone able and interested in updating the Yamaha Aventage driver to accommodate the latest pre-amp/receiver (CX-A5100)? Support for the new DSP options (Neural:X, etc.) is of the most interest. End-user here willing to pay a reasonable fee for this service. Thanks!

Need Power Discretes and Zone Control for McIntosh MX122

Hello
I need a IR or HEX code (if possible) for a McIntosh MX-122 A/V processor (new unit) and Zone control. Both buttons on factory remotes are toggles (thanx McIntosh!) I heard from a little bird that a Marantz 8802A codes would work so either one would be greatly appreciated!

RTI Kaleidescape IP Driver - 433 1 Way Comms

This is probably a stupid question and I think I know the answer already but just thought I would check to be sure.

Speccing a job to upgrade a client's ancient Pronto Pro setup involving 8x TSU9600s all talking to various bits of kit including a couple of Kaleidescape players.

In order to simplify job and ensure good stable coverage across what is a large house with thick walls, was hoping to do away with two way comms and just use a couple of 433 antenna's with an XP6.

Is there any reason why I cannot use the 433MHz RF comms protocol but still use the IP Kaleidescape driver for 1 way... [More Content]

How do I convert RC5 codes into HEX for RTI T-2i Remote?

Hello, I contacted McIntosh about discrete codes for the MX-122 and they supplied me with RC5 codes. How do I use these or can I convert them into a HEX code to put in my remote project?

Here are some examples:

Power On:     System 16 Command 12 Extension 01

Power Off:     System 16 Command 12 Extension 02

RTi RK1-8's Grouping more than 2 on 1 Cat 5 wire?!?

Guys,

I have used RK1-8's on two installations over the years...so I have a small knowledge of them.

I know you can only group up to 2 RK1-8 on each cat 5 cable headed back to a CB-4 connecting block when connecting several rooms.

My question is...if the prewire to each room has only 1 cat 5 wire at the RK1-8 location, does the RK1-8 need more than 2 pairs of wires punched down in an RJ45 to operate it?

**As you can tell...I would like to split a cat 5 and use up to 4 keypads at each room location (ideally 3 RK1-8's at each location)...but each room only has 1 cat 5 wire pre wired.

Noel Blackman of BSD (Blackman Signature Designs) has just created some amazing template and graphic package for Pro Control remotes. Known as Aleera, this design uses some of the flat graphic principles which are popular with Savant and some of the newer systems.

1. RTI License is the same license in iphone and galaxy?

2. I can save in XP3 More Than 1 apps projects?
I Mean, if i can send to XP3 project of 3 phones and another Project of one phone and all these projects will be In The XP3?

T2+ is frozen. Not resolved when power is cycled.

I have a T2+ I have been tasked with to 'unfreeze.' It is stuck on the Home Page and does not register any button presses. It charges properly and the battery seems to be functional. My computer does not recognize the T2+ and gives the message "A request for the USB device descriptor failed."

First, I tried to cycle power several times by unplugging the battery. However, it did not work.

Next, I thought reprogramming may be the solution. After going through the process of securing a dealer account, I downloaded TheaterTouch Designer only to find out I must manually put the T2+ into... [More Content]

Like the thread title says, I'm looking for a battery cover for an old T3 remote. I can still get them from RTI for $27, but I thought if someone had a broken remote sitting around I could help you recycle it! Let me know what you have. Thanks!

LG Smart TV Apps Macro

I'm looking for some ideas on how to write a macro in ID that would open up the apps, open Youtube (for example) and play a 4K playlist on an new LG 4K television. The problem I'm having trouble wrapping my head around is how to get the "Smart" button above the cursor to consistently open up with the same block highlighted every time. It seems to jump around, especially if some has been using it. Is there a discreet "Youtube" command? Any ideas that have worked for you?
