I have a control macro which calls a series of other macros to run a sequence of tasks. During this sequence I want to allow for an emergency break which will stop all devices, bring up dimmed lights etc. I have an emergency button system linked to the XP-6 sense port (eg when the button is pressed the sense goes high). I can use this to trigger an event to run a macro to set a flag but this does not suit the situation. Since macros run in sequence, the emergency macro will not run until the control macro has completed. Can anyone tell me how I might appropriately interrupt my control macro... [More Content]

RTI 2 Way String Error
I am using a Two Way driver as a One Way Driver to send a Hex Command to a simple media player. There is no dedicated driver and I can't use serial or IR.
I can send the command using Hercules just fine.
I RTI, I setup the 2way Driver, put in the hex, and I can see the codes are sent in the WinXP driver screen, but the code does not work at this point. Have tried adding a carriage return /r and a %, but no love.
Anyone have ideas on this?

XP-6 Internet issue
I have a takeover project for a new homeowner that the XP-6 was squirrely from the start. First, I could not retrieve the program from it. Went to check firmware, and it was displaying ???.
RTI told me to load new firmware which wiped the old program. The programmer was out of state and all I could get was the basic programming with only the graphics finished, and only half the programming not completed.
I have not done much with RTI since we took on Crestron a decade ago.
The biggest problem I have now is that the XP-6 does not want to connect any longer to the network. The K4 shows up in... [More Content]

Controlling Niles ICS?
I have an client that has an ICS system installed that has the analog audio output of his Tivo boxes connected to one of the card slots in his ICS. He has always just used the keypads to select the proper source and volume but has requested to add the functionality to his RTI remote instead. He would like to do this in 3 different zones.
I have a single RS232G but just wanted to know if anyone if anyone can provide some pointers or "gotchas" to look out for before I get started.

Sending HTTP POST commands
The current crop of Android-based Sony televisions have the ability to directly launch installed apps without going through any menus by sending a single HTTP POST command, no other authorization strings or JSON code needed. Does anyone know of a way to send an HTTP POST command from an XP-8? I'm currently having the XP-8 send RS232 codes to a PC running Event Ghost, which in turn sends the POST command, but I'd like to simplify the setup if possible. Thanks!

I am leaving a AudioAccess system to consolidate around a Denon AVRX4300H with 3 room amplifier. I would rather have one box than two.
As such, I wanted to replace the AudioAccess keypads with (2) RTI RKM-1 KEYPAD for the remote rooms and (1) RTI Model RP-6 Remote Control Processor. These would be used off eBay.
The Denon accepts IR signals via a IR input plug, so the scheme is to replace the KPS 101 keypads with the RKM-1 keypads.
1) If I source the parts of ebay, am I still not able to pull this off given that one cannot program these without software that is held by RTI and... [More Content]

ONSITE, NEED HELP! Hard-wired IR control of Sony AE1 OLED display
My IR commands work if I set them to standalone, but I am unable to get them working via the hard-wired IR/RS232 port... I tried setting the frequency to 0 on a few buttons and that didn't work either...

RTI Controls Z-9 Z-Wave Interface
Hi all, we have just had available in our Country the RTI Z-9 interface and we have setup our first one last week. We have no support in our country as yet for this product as they are doing the training next week but I thought i would reach out before this so i can get this job completed.
The Z-9 will register and control a Z-Wave Fibaro Relay nicely, our issue is with the Dimmer 2. it will register and show, and works fine from the Z-9. Once the file is sent to the XP-6 processor it fails to work the dimmers. The relay works fine.

RTI XP-6 Firmware Upgrade
Has anyone tried the XP-6 firmware update 1.14.4, especially over a network versus a USB connection?
The XP-6 in question for me is hard to access physically, so a network update would be ideal, but I'm concerned about trying it unless there are success stories.

Does anyone have a set up commands to hold the windows key down and press the one key?
Or has anyone found a way to launch programs?
Seems like it there were windows +1 Windows+2 etc to launch the programs from the task bar.

T2C+ with red flashing X
I have been renovating my house so my two T2C+ remotes with their XP-6 controllers have been sitting in a box for a few months. I got them out over the weekend and both are showing a red flashing "x" inside a little white box in the top left corner of the display. Both remotes appear to load their software with two passes of the status bar at the bottom and then they come up with a splash screen with the RTI logo and the flashing x. I have removed the batteries, turned off the switch etc.
