RTI T3-V+

Greetings,,,

I have a brand new RTI remote T3-V+ (5 units) unfortunately was stored in high temperature place and the body got damage while the units still functioning good.
Is there any possibilities to find the front and rear covers along with buttons.

ello everyone, sorry if I sound like a complete noob at this, I have no idea what I'm doing.
After clearing out my fathers home after he passed away I've come across a IR PRO reader system from RTI. I can't find really much information on this item however I came across this forum.

I am looking to sell this item for a fair price, and willing to ship anywhere in the world for additional shipping costs.

The item is clean and comes in the box, with leads and a manual. All with the RTI embelem on it.

Dying T2i

Love the T2i but having issues. Last 5 have all died within a week or so of original installation.

Simply removing the battery and reinserting it clears it up. After doing that once, they typically last a few more months before going dead again.

RTI has replaced a board in one of them but generally claims nobody else is having that problem. Another one was totally replaced under warranty. It lasted 5 days before dying again. We had to refund that customer on the remote. He's been an RTI customer of ours since the original T1 days.

Apex Experience

Hey guys,

Been using RTI ID for years and am really comfortable with it.
Since the release I've been trying to also get comfortable with APEX, but it's not happening yet. Of course it's never easy getting over the learning curve, but I'm coming to the conclusion the platform is no easier for the programmer and in fact takes more time.
Just wondering if others have concluded the same, or have overcome the learning curve and using Apex successfully.

Sending HTTP POST commands

The current crop of Android-based Sony televisions have the ability to directly launch installed apps without going through any menus by sending a single HTTP POST command, no other authorization strings or JSON code needed. Does anyone know of a way to send an HTTP POST command from an XP-8? I'm currently having the XP-8 send RS232 codes to a PC running Event Ghost, which in turn sends the POST command, but I'd like to simplify the setup if possible. Thanks!

SSH/Telnet for switching?

Does anyone know the proper driver or if there is even a driver for using ssh or telnet over RTI? I would like to be able to send commands to a switch for hdmi over IP routing using cisco switching. Not sure if this is possible but i have looked at using the HTTP authentication driver which i think is closer to what i need or i might just be implementing it incorrectly. Otherwise the 2 way string driver I figured might work well but again maybe implementing it wrong. would love some input if this has been done or if there is an easier way I have not tried. Thanks

Can I force T4 to periodically reboot?

I have a pair of customer T4's that get into trouble after some weeks on site. I can't get good feedback from the customer beyond "doesn't work". This is an issue that goes back several years. Fresh batteries may help, but I don't have good data about this.

My observation is that communication with the base station is lost. There are two rooms and an XP6 for each room. A symptom that I have observed on some visits is that, after I touch a button, there is no reply from the processor. This results in the remote not jumping to the proper page. serial control of kramer matrix switcher

Hello
I am trying to control a 6x6 HDMI matrix switch via a ESC-2 and XP6
when i send the command to switch output 1 to input 1 it works once and then wont work again.
i press the button to send the command several times and sometimes it switches.
i have powered it off and on between each use with no change in result
i have changed the timing between transmission of characters without any change.
the command is 01 81 81 81 does any one have any ideas.

I have also tried IR commands, when i use the kramer IR remote it switches as it should but i cant get the XP6 to act on the ir commands being... [More Content]

Hi,

I own an RTI XP-8s and I'm wondering if it can trigger a 12V input.

The reason I'm asking:

I'm just introducing a power conditioner into my system that has several switched outlets.

I have a tube preamp and tube monoblock amps for my 2 channel system that I'd like to plug into the switched outlets of the power conditioner. The power conditioner's switched outputs only work by being triggered via a 12V trigger.

Ideally, the pre-amp would have had a 12V trigger output so that when I turn the preamp on, it would trigger the other switched outputs turning my amps on.

Hi
I cant figure out how to activate the WiFi on the remote.
I have entered control panel and wifi is always showing not connected.
I have been into the remotes properties and set the ip address wifi settings, however it still will not activate
any ideas please

Sustained IR Signal for 5 Seconds

I need to program a restart function for a Sony TV. On the manufacturer's remote, this requires holding the Power button for five seconds. How do I do this with RTI - is there a conversion from "minimum repeats" to seconds? Thanks!

I'm not an integrator but I got the software from an old friend that used to be an integrator. Anyway, I'm doing work at a friends house on some RTI remotes of this model that work with their home automation system from Crestron. The system is pretty dated but it work well. My issue is that in one room their RTI remote is acting up, it will continuously boot loop and display the RTI boot screen and in between loops it makes a hissing noise. I took it apart and sometimes when I put pressure randomly, it'll boot and work fine for awhile but then it'll freeze and do the same thing. Is there some... [More Content]

Crestron 433 Trigger Codes on T2i/T2x?

Does anyone know what the actual behavior of the 433 transmission? It seems not to sustain but rather rapid repeat. I also notice that only a few settings can be applied and most end up disabling the 433 transmission. Here are my observations...

1. If sustain is unchecked, it wont work.
2. If 433 code is placed direct on the button, no logic can be added to the button.
3. You can use the codes within macros and with certain logic operations but not all.

I can't figure out how the number of repeats affects the transmission or if the delay .3 seconds after code option actually does anything... [More Content]

This sounds like it should be "no, duh," but the client isn't here and we're trying to make a control program on a new iPad Air (we think) without registering it.

Controlling Niles ICS with RTI?

I will cross post to the CI Lounge as I really need some help to finish up a project enhancement.

I have a client with 24 zones of audio using Niles ICS. I am looking to add some basic control in 3 zones for source selection and volume levels. I installed an RS232G to control a zone. After basically two days and a bunch of time trying to send commands via Hyper Terminal I am all out of ideas. I called Niles tech support and their answer was that they didn't even know this was possible. They thought the RS232G was to control 3rd party equipment and the only way that they have... Apex - Marantz driver question

Current Apex software. Need Driver for Marantz SR8012.

RTI shows Denon driver 1.83 to be best choice.

The equipment is located well away from the HT room and I want the entire remote available on my T3X for set up and other purposes. All I find in the driver data base is bits and pieces, but even commands like sources aren't obvious.

Is there a short answer for what I am missing or am I going to have to build all this manually?

I have been programming RTI remotes since RTI first started, but freely admit to being a newbie to Apex.

T2x not connecting via USB

one of my T2x units no longer is recognized via the usb port connection, all other work ok.
I have removed battery and done several resets but nothing works.
I have not been able to get the WiFi connection working so I am at a loss at what to do.
The T2x works fine otherwise, cant update program till this is fixed, any help would be appreciared

RTI Programming Question

I'm working on an existing system with an XP-8 and (4) T-2B remotes that I'm replacing with (4) new T1-B+ remotes. There are some commands in the existing macros that are not in my IR database. Is there a way to utilize that command from a macro string from another remote? I rarely do RTI nowadays and I haven't found a way.

In particular, it appears to be a learned command for a "King of Accesories HDMI Switch 4x1"
